One of Bachs most famous cantatas is „Ich hatte viel Bekümmernis“. Bach performed it on 17th of June in 1714 in Weimar, used for an application for the organplayer job in Hamburgs St.Jakobi church in 1720 and later in Leipzig 13th of June 1723. But even the 1714 performance may be based on an earlier version of the cantata.
